Pharmaceutical Client - Site Carbon Reduction Project

Kilgallen and Partners provided Structural Engineering Design & Analysis Services for a Carbon Reduction Project for a pharmaceutical client. The client’s objective was to reduce energy consumption by 30%, reduce carbon emissions by 40% and reduce water consumption by 30%. This was achieved by the installation of four new chillers with heat recovery, new chilled water plant and associated pipework to service the existing production buildings. Detailed structural assessments and follow on strengthening works of the existing piperacks along with the design of new piperacks and reinforced concrete plinths and bunds were required to facilitate the project
